Bluegrass Pickin’ In The Mountains Set For April 28 At Jenny Wiley State Resort Park

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. -- The harmonic sounds of Bluegrass music will fill the hills of Kentucky when Jenny Wiley State Resort Park hosts “Bluegrass Pickin’ in the Mountains” on Saturday, April 28.

 

Held at Jenny Wiley’s outdoor amphitheatre, Bluegrass music will be heard from 6 p.m. through 11 p.m. In case of rain, the event will be held in the park conference center.

 

Bands are to include Larry Cordle and Lonesome Standard Time, Don Rigsby and the Midnight Call, Melvin Goins and Windy Mountain and more. Concessions will be available during the event. 

 

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or by calling 1-800-325-0142. Overnight package plans are also available by calling the park.

The weekend of April 27-29 is Camper Appreciation Weekend at all Kentucky State Park campgrounds. Campers can stay two nights for the price of one and enjoy the Bluegrass music. Jenny Wiley State Resort Park has a 117-site campground with hookups.
