Jenny Wiley State Resort Park Celebrates 50th Year Since May Lodge Opened

PRESTONSBURG, Ky.Jenny Wiley State Resort Park will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of May Lodge during the weekend of Oct. 19-20.

 

Tourism, Arts and Heritage Secretary Marcheta Sparrow and Kentucky State Parks Commissioner Elaine Walker will speak at a ceremony to celebrate the anniversary on Friday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. at the lodge.

 

The park is looking for photos from guests from the 1960s and will display them at the lodge.

 

On Saturday, Oct. 20, the park will host its Buffalo Night from 5-9 p.m. The menu will feature several buffalo dishes, fried chicken and catfish, along with vegetables, breads and desserts. The adult price is $17.96 plus tax and children ages 12 and under are $6.96 plus tax. Drink is not included.

Jenny Wiley State Resort Park in Prestonsburg offers something for everyone.
