FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Stefanie Gaither has been named the park manager at Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park.

Gaither has a background in the restaurant and hotel business, serving in management positions in Bowling Green, Georgetown and Florence, Ky. as well as Richmond, Va. and Dayton, Ohio. She most recently was the general manager for the Lexington North Residence Inn by Marriott.

“Stefanie comes to us with an excellent background in hospitality and customer service skills,” said Department of Parks Deputy Commissioner John Kington. “She’s a perfect fit for our newest resort park.”

Gaither, who grew up in Leitchfield, will oversee the 580-acre park, the newest among the park systems 17 resort parks. The park in Robertson and Nicholas counties has a 32-room lodge, dining hall and campground. She began her new job on April 24.

Because her career has allowed her to travel, Gaither said she has come to appreciate her home state. Kentucky is certainly the most beautiful state and you just do not find friendlier folks anywhere,” she said.
