Green River Lake State Park To Host Trail Ride On May 9

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.Green River Lake State Park will host the Rocky Mountain Horse Association Rated Trail Ride on May 9.

 

This free competitive event will include judging on crossing water, bridges and logs, backing, mounting and dismounting, and proper gait.

 

This event is open to all riders. The ride begins at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, but riders should be there by 9 a.m. for registration. The event is open to the first 50 riders and those interested should call in advance to reserve a spot. Call ride manager Jan Culp at 270-777-3307 or email at culpfarm@gmail.com

 

Green River Lake State Park sits along an 8,200-acre lake and has a campground, marina, mini-golf, gift shop, picnic area and hiking trails. There is a horse stable next to the park. Green River Lake State Park is south of Campbellsville on KY 55.
