Armed Forces Weekend Is May 17-19 at Green River Lake State Park
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Green River Lake State Park will host its Armed Forces Weekend May 17-19.
This weekend has been set aside to honor Americans in uniform who served their country in times of war and peace. Current and former members of the military can get a 10 percent camping discount.
Special activities are planned throughout the weekend. On Friday, May 17, flag pins will be distributed to guests. At 9 p.m., there will be a candle ceremony to honor active military, veterans and those who have died serving our country.
On Saturday, May 18, there will be an ice cream social from 5-7 p.m.

Green River Lake State Park sits along an 8,200-acre lake and has a campground, marina, mini-golf, gift shop, picnic area and hiking trails. Green River Lake State Park is south of Campbellsville on KY 55.
