Greenbo Lake To Host International Classic Cuisine Irish Night on March 5

GREENUP, Ky.Greenbo Lake State Resort Park will be hosting its International Classic Cuisine Irish Night on March 5.

 

The park’s Anglers’ Cove Restaurant menu will feature shepherd’s pie; Dublin coddle; carved corn beef; baked Irish chicken; Irish colcannon; kraut and onions; green beans with redskin potatoes; turnip greens and bacon; rice pilaf; mashed potatoes; Irish potato and white bean soups; Irish soda bread; catfish; cornbread; assorted Irish desserts; pudding; and cobbler.

 

The buffet will be served from 5-8 p.m. Adults are $14.99 and children $6.99. Drinks, tax and tip not included.

 

The park will host Mexican Night at the restaurant on April 2, 2011.

 

Greenbo Lake State Resort Park is on KY 1, 18 miles north of I-64 from Grayson exit or 8 miles south of U.S. 23, the Country Music Highway on KY 1.  Greenbo Lake features the Jesse Stuart Lodge with 36 rooms, a convention center and Anglers’ Cove Restaurant.  The park has a 225-acre lake for boating and fishing, tennis courts, 25 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding.  The campground is open April 1 through October 31.  Greenbo Amphitheatre features musical concerts and plays during the summer and fall.
