Greenbo Lake Amphitheater Features Musical “Footloose” on Aug. 27
GREENUP, Ky. – Greenbo Lake State Resort Park, in partnership with Paramount Arts Center, proudly presents “Footloose” The Musical on Aug. 27.
This musical, made popular by the 1984 movie, tells a story about a teenager from Chicago who finds himself at odds with the community in Beaumont over a law that prohibits dancing.
Admission is $10 per person and concessions will be available. The show starts at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to the Greenbo Lake Amphitheatre for an evening fun and music.
Greenbo Lake State Resort Park is on KY 1, 18 miles north of I-64 from the Grayson exit or 8 miles south of U.S. 23, the Country Music Highway on KY 1. Greenbo Lake features the Jesse Stuart Lodge with 36 rooms, convention center and Anglers’ Cove Restaurant. The park has a 225-acre lake for boating and fishing, tennis courts, 25 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. The campground is open April 1 through Oct. 31. Greenbo amphitheatre features musical concerts and plays during the summer and fall.
