Clean Up Day Set For April 23 at Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park
BUCKHORN, Ky. – Join friends and community volunteers as they clean up Buckhorn Lake on Saturday, April 23, 2011.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park marina. Gloves and bags will be provided. All participants are invited to a cookout lunch, where door prizes will be awarded.
This event is co-sponsored by the Buckhorn Scenic Trail Association, Buckhorn Army Corps of Engineers, Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park, Perry County Fiscal Court and PRIDE.

Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park is on KY Hwy 1833, 25 miles northwest of Hazard, within the Elk Corridor. Buckhorn Lake features a lodge with 36 rooms, executive two and three bedroom cottages, a convention center, Bowlingtown Country Kitchen Restaurant and gift shop. The park is located on 856 scenic wooded acres along a 1,200-acre lake for boating and fishing, tennis courts, two miles of hiking trails and other recreational activities.
From I-75 North, exit to I-64 East, exit at the Mountain Parkway, then exit at Campton and take KY 15 South, to KY 28 West, then KY Hwy 1833 to park entrance.
From I-75 South, exit at the Hal Rogers Parkway, then to KY 15 North to KY 28 West, then to KY Hwy 1833 to park entrance.
