2005 Facts About Meth In Kentucky

The Kentucky counties with most meth labs seized in 2005:

1.  Warren – 52 labs
2.  Daviess – 49 labs
3.  Jefferson – 37 labs
4.  Hopkins and Monroe – 24 labs
6.  Bullitt – 23 labs
7.  Allen – 21 labs
8.  Laurel – 19 labs
9.  Muhlenberg – 17 labs
10. Barren and Pulaski – 16 labs

The number of meth labs the last six months of 2005 dropped 73% from the first six months in 2004.

The number of meth labs the last six months of 2005 dropped 57% from the same time period in 2004.
Nearly 180 children have been present in meth lab seizures within the past two years.

In 2005, meth labs have been reported in 81 of our 120 counties.

In 2005, Kentucky ranked 6th in methamphetamine responses with 587.  Missouri has the most meth lab responses with 2252.

2006 Facts About Meth In Kentucky

In 2006, Kentucky ranks 3rd in methamphetamine responses with 93.  Missouri has the most meth lab responses with 276 labs.

The Kentucky counties that had the most meth labs 1st quarter 2006:

 1.  Daviess – 11 labs
 2.  Warren – 9 labs
 3.  Jefferson – 8 labs
 4.  Graves and Bullitt – 5 labs


In 2006, 9 children have been present with methamphetamine labs seizures in Kentucky.

There have been 83 statewide methamphetamine arrests in 2006.

In 2006, 34 counties have reported methamphetamine labs.
