LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Lt. Governor Daniel Mongiardo today joined officials from Neustar Inc. to celebrate the grand opening of the company’s new customer support center of excellence.

The Neustar customer support center, located in the Hurstbourne Green business park, will process thousands of e-mail and phone inquiries for the company. It’s expected to create 150 new jobs over the next three years.

“During these tough economic times it’s always exciting to see a new business moving into the state, bringing with it new jobs,” said Lt. Governor Mongiardo. “Technology is the wave of the future, and Neustar is on the cutting edge. These are the types of jobs that will keep us moving ahead.”

Neustar was preliminarily approved for state incentives up to $2,570,000 by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based incentive can be earned over a 10-year period through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments.
“Neustar is grateful for all of the assistance that the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the city of Louisville provided as we decided where to locate our facility among attractive municipalities around the country,” said Paul S. Lalljie, Chief Financial Officer, Neustar Inc. “We feel very welcome in Kentucky and are fortunate to build our team from the state’s highly skilled and qualified workforce. Our grand opening and ribbon cutting today is a terrific way to publicly recognize our commitment to Kentucky and the state’s commitment to Neustar.”

Jeff Ganek, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Neustar Inc., was on hand for today’s ribbon cutting as was Bruce Traughber, director of economic development for the city of Louisville.
