Six-week closure expected

FRANKFORT, Ky.  (June 10, 2011) – The rest area for eastbound travelers on Interstate 64 in Clark County will be closed at noon EDT today – June 10 – to allow for relocation of water and sewer lines.

The closure is expected to last six weeks. Relocation of underground lines was necessitated by the construction to widen I-64. The rest area is just beyond the exit to the Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway.
