Road Improvement Projects announced for Scott County
Lexington, Ky. (January 8, 2008) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways announces that the following projects have been awarded to improve roadways in Scott County.
Asphalt Resurfacing:
- Cedar Rd. (KY 368) from KY 227 (MP0.00) extending Northwest 1.4 miles (MP 1.400), a distance of 1.4 miles
- Stamping Ground-Woodlake Rd. (KY1688) from the Franklin Co. Line (MP 0.000) extending east to KY 3378 (MP0.960), a distance of 0.96 miles.
Contractor: Hamilton – Hinkle Paving
Contract Amt.: $154,051.65
Specified Completion Date: June 30, 2008
Bridge Deck Restoration & Waterproofing:
- Porter Road to US 25 Bridge over I-75 (MP 21.480) 0.25 miles west of North JCT US 25
Contractor: M & M Services Co. Inc.
Contract Amount: $95,654.62
Specified Completion Date: June 30, 2008
Work on these projects is anticipated to begin in the spring due to weather and current temperatures. All work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the work area.
