Repair work on I-75/I-64 in Fayette County scheduled to begin tomorrow

LEXINGTON, KY (October 18, 2005)—The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways announces that work to repair portions of the I-75/I-64 combined route, between milepoints 110 (Winchester Road) and 112 (Paris Pike), is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 19, 2005.
Beginning at 7:00 AM, Wednesday, the northbound right lane will be closed as crews begin repairs to the concrete pavement. Additional lane closures, both north and southbound can be expected. Lane closures will be permitted between the hours of 7:00 PM Sunday through 12:00 PM Friday. No lane closures will occur during the weekends. The speed limit throughout the work zone has been reduced to 55 MPH and double fines will be strictly enforced.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks that motorists use extreme caution when traveling through this work zone.
The $1.9 million project has been awarded to the WL Harper Company and has a specified completion date of December 22, 2005.
