Covington, Kentucky- (April 5, 2005)- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet installed new "Welcome to Kentucky-Unbridled Spirit" signs in two points of entry today in Northern Kentucky. A crew with George B. Stone Company from Sharpsburg, Kentucky, placed a ground mounted sign on I-275 in Boone County just after crossing over the Carroll C. Cropper Bridge from Indiana into Kentucky. George H. Stone was the contractor hired to install all of the interstate signs. Today they also installed a sign on the Combs-Hehl Bridge/I-275 coming into Kentucky from Ohio.

Tomorrow the crew will be installing sign on the I-75 southbound in Kenton County. Police will assist with traffic control, so motorists should be aware of signs and lane closure during the sign placement. It is schedule to be installed at approximately 9 a.m. The other location is on the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge coming into Kentucky onto I-471. That sign will be installed approximately at noon tomorrow.

There are over sixty "Welcome to Kentucky-Unbridled Spirit" signs being installed throughout the state of Kentucky. The new signs welcome all those travelling to our state to come catch the spirit of what makes Kentucky a great place to live and visit.
