Westport Rd / KY 1447 Traffic Advisory

Louisville, KY (August 12, 2005) - The Kentucky Department of Highways announces the temporary closure of Girard Drive, Fenley Avenue, and Lynne Way as part of the Westport Road widening project.  These roads are scheduled to be closed only at their intersection with Westport Road from 7:00 a.m., Monday, August 15, 2005, until 6:00 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2005.  

Washburn Avenue at Westport Rd will be reopened to traffic no later than 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16.

The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.  Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed.  Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the workers and their equipment.  This is a reminder we must all help reduce the number of highway work zone accidents and fatalities.  Slow Down to Get There!
