US 31E / I-265 Traffic Advisory
Louisville, KY (August 15, 2005)- The Kentucky Department of Highways announces the continued temporary closure of the entrance ramps from north and southbound Bardstown Road (US 31E) to Interstate 265 as part of the rehabilitation of the Gene Snyder Freeway (I-265). These ramps are re-scheduled to be open by 6:00 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2005.
Motorists wishing to access westbound I-265 from northbound Bardstown Road should follow the signed detour taking eastbound I-265 to the Billtown Road (Exit 19), turn left on Billtown Road and then access westbound I-265.
Motorists wishing to access eastbound I-265 from southbound Bardstown Road should follow the signed detour taking westbound I-265 to the Beulah Church Road (Exit 15), turn left on Beulah Church Road and then access eastbound I-265.
The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed. Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the workers and their equipment.
