Taylor Ave / Franklin Co. Traffic Advisory

Louisville, KY (October 26, 2005) - The District 5 Department of Highways office in Louisville announces that Taylor Avenue (KY 1211) in Frankfort, KY will be closed at the intersection with Benson Valley Road (KY 3506). This intersection will be closed through November 4, 2005. Motorists should follow the signed detour. This closure will allow for construction of a sewer line by the City of Frankfort.

In conjunction with this project, the Cabinet will initiate a study for the potential removal of the traffic signal at the intersection. During this study, the traffic signal at this intersection will flash all-red, and a four-way stop will be installed. The study period for the removal of this device will last approximately 90 days. During this time period, the Cabinet will collect data to evaluate the potential removal of this device.
