ROADSHOW for the week beginning July 3, 2006

Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances may occur, so the information below is strictly of an advisory nature and is subject to change with no notice.

Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night.  Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis.

Jefferson County:

Interstate 71:  Left lane closure on both northbound and southbound lanes between I-64 in downtown Louisville to the Jefferson/Oldham County line (mile point 0 to 11.3) due to construction project for installation of median cable barriers.  Lane closures are possible during the weekday evenings (Monday – Friday) from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning and on weekend evenings (Saturday – Sunday) from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning.  The speed limit in this work zone will be reduced to 45 MPH and the double fines will be enforced.

Interstate 64:  Left lane closure on both eastbound and westbound lanes between the Cochran Hill Tunnels and Breckenridge Lane (mile point 8.6 to 11.5) due to construction project for installation of median cable barriers.  Lane closures will occur on weekends.  Lane closures are possible during the weekend evenings (Friday – Sunday) from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning.  The speed limit in this work zone will be reduced to 45 MPH and the double fines will be enforced.

Westbound Interstate 64:  Right lane closed between Tucker Station Road overpass and Hurstbourne Parkway (mile point 17.6 to 14.8) from 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2006 until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2006 to allow for bridge deck repairs as part of the I-64 resurfacing project.  The speed limit in this work zone will be reduced to 45 MPH and the double fines will be enforced.

Interstate 64:  Right shoulder closure daily in both directions between the Oxmoor Farm Bridge and the Floyds Fork Bridge (mile point 13.8 and 21) due to guardrail repairs.

Brownsboro Road (US 42):  Lane closures and delays possible between I-264 and KY 841 (mile points 5.7 to 8.9) due to pavement repairs.  Lane closures are possible weekdays (Monday – Friday) from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning.  Work will continue on weekends from 9:00 p.m. on Friday until 6:00 a.m. on Monday.

Bashford Manor Lane:  Possible construction delays between Bardstown Road and Newburg Road due to road widening.  Lane closures possible daily from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  Road is closed to through traffic between Newburg Road and Mayo Drive beginning Tuesday, June 6 – mid August to allow for bridge replacement.  Local access will be allowed to side streets.

Fern Valley Road (KY 1631):  Possible construction delays between Grade Lane and Signature Drive.  Lane closures possible weekday evenings from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning.  Lane closures also possible on weekends from 9:00 p.m. on Friday until 5:00 a.m. on Monday.  Construction work to continue through August 2006.

Outer Loop (KY 1065):  Possible construction delays between Minors Lane and Shepherdsville Road (KY 2052).  Lane closures possible weekday evenings from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning.  Lane closures also possible on weekends from 9:00 p.m. on Friday until 5:00 a.m. on Monday.  Construction work to continue through August 2006.

Dixie Highway (US 31W):  Lane closures and delays possible from Orell Road to the Jefferson/Hardin County line (mile point 0 to 7.1) due to roadway resurfacing.

KY 1531 (which covers portions of Aiken Road, Eastwood-Fisherville Road, Johnson Road and Routt Road), KY 1819 (which covers portions of Ruckreigel Parkway, Seatonville Road, Watterson Trail and Brush Run Road, Westport Road (KY 1447), Hurstbourne Parkway (KY 1747), Taylorsville Road (KY 155), Shelbyville Road (US 60):  Lane closures and delays possible due to pothole patching.

Old Third Street Road (KY 907)):  Lane closures and delays possible between Mitchel Road and Arnoldtown Road (mile points 3 to 4) due to ditch cleaning.

Interstate 64, Interstate 71, Interstate 264, Interstate 265, KY 841, Old Shepherdsville Road (KY 6301), Dixie Highway (US 31W), New Cut Road (KY 1865):  Shoulder closures and delays possible due to roadway sweeping.

National Turnpike (KY 1020): Possible construction delays for corrective work between Outer Loop and Southside Drive.  Motorists should watch for construction trucks entering roadway.

Bullitt County:

Southbound Interstate 65:  Shoulder closures and delays possible between mile point 106 and 109 due to ditch cleaning.

KY 44, KY 1526:  Shoulder closures and delays possible due to mowing.

Franklin County:

 US 60, KY 1900:  Lane closures and delays possible due to tree trimming.

Henry County:

US 421:  Road is closed to through traffic between KY 241 and the intersection of KY 22 and KY 3222 through August 3, 2006 due to bridge replacement.  Local access will be allowed.  Motorists should follow the signed detour via KY 241, KY 1359 and KY 22.

KY 146 LaGrange – Newcastle Road east of Bartlett Fork Bridge (MP 5.4 – 5.9): Possible lane closures and delays due to roadway improvements.

KY 22 Ballardsville Road:  Lane closures and delays possible between the Henry/Oldham County Line and KY 55 (mile points 0 to 7.4) due to roadway resurfacing.

KY 22 Ballardsville Road:  Shoulder closures and delays possible between mile points 0 and 4 due to ditch cleaning.

KY 3323:  Shoulder closures and delays possible due to ditch cleaning.

Oldham County:

KY 22:  Shoulder closures and delays possible in Crestwood due to tree trimming.

US 42, KY 53, KY 329:  Lane closures and delays possible due to pothole patching.

Shelby County:

Routine maintenance

Spencer County:

KY 155 (Taylorsville Road):  Lane closures and delays possible between KY 55 and the Jefferson/Spencer County line (mile points 0 to 4.2) due to roadway resurfacing.

Trimble County:

KY 754:  Shoulder closures and delays possible between Wises Landing Road and US 42 (mile points 0 to 5.5) due to ditch cleaning.
