Louisville, KY (September 20, 2005) - The District 5 Department of Highways office in Louisville announces temporary lane closures on Bardstown Road (US 31E) underneath the Gene Snyder Freeway (Interstate 265). The roadway will be reduced to one lane on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 from 7:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. (midnight). Closing two lanes at a time may be necessary at some point for 10 – 15 minute intervals. These lane closures will allow for bridge and roadway cleaning.

In addition, temporary lane closures will occur underneath the Watterson Expressway (Interstate 264) at the following locations on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 from 7:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. (midnight): Third Street, Southern Parkway, Taylor Boulevard.  These lane closures will allow for bridge and roadway cleaning.
