Oldham Co / KY 53 Traffic Advisory

Louisville, KY (August 31, 2005)- The District 5 Department of Highways office announces that KY 53 in Oldham County will be reduced to one lane just north of LaGrange at the bridge over Harrods Creek. This lane closure is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2005 and will allow for bridge deck replacement. A temporary signal has been installed to maintain traffic. Construction is scheduled for completion at the end of September 2005.

Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed. Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the construction workers and their equipment. This is a reminder we must all help reduce the number of highway work zone accidents and fatalities. Slow Down to Get There!
