| Louisville, Ky. (May 10, 2005)- Construction will begin next week on KY 3192 to replace the bridge over Plum Creek. "As part of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s mission to provide a safe and reliable transportation system, this bridge is being widened to accommodate wider loads such as farm equipment," said Acting Transportation Secretary Bill Nighbert.
KY 3192 will be closed to traffic at the bridge beginning Thursday, May 19, 2005. The roadway will be reopened to traffic prior to the start of the 2005-2006 Spencer County School year. Motorists should follow the signed detour via KY 155 and KY 55. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has let a contract for this work to Mac Construction Company of Louisville, Kentucky in the amount of $349,917. |
