| Frankfort, KY - (May 17, 2005) - As part of Governor Ernie Fletcher’s vision to provide a safe and reliable transportation system, acting Transportation Secretary Bill Nighbert announces improvements in Jefferson County.
- Concrete patching will be performed on westbound Interstate 64 just east of Interstate 264 (mile points 13.2 - 12.6). American Contracting and Services, Inc., of Jeffersonville, Indiana was awarded the low bid contract for $449,345.00.
- New overhead lighting will be installed on Interstate 71 at the Interstate 264 interchange. Arrow Electric Company, Inc., of Louisville, Kentucky was awarded the low bid contract for $538,531.00.
- Manslick Road (KY 1931) will be resurfaced with asphalt from Steven Drive to just north of Old Manslick Road. Gohmann Asphalt and Construction, Inc., of Clarksville, Indiana was awarded the low bid contract for $103,500.00.
Work is expected to begin in the near future and the anticipated completion dates are summer/fall of 2005. Construction activities are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather conditions. |
