Louisville, KY (December 1, 2005) - The District 5 Department of Highways announces temporary lane closures on Interstate 65  in downtown Metro Louisville Thursday night, December 1, 2005.  The right two lanes of northbound I65 between the Broadway overpass and the John F. Kennedy Bridge (MP 135 – 137) will be closed from 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening until 5:00 a.m. Friday morning to allow for pavement repair.

The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.  Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed.  Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the workers and their equipment.  This is a reminder we must all help reduce the number of highway work zone accidents and fatalities.
