Interstate 65 Metro Lou. Traffic Advisory
Louisville, KY (January 24, 2006) - District 5 of the Department of Highways office announces temporary lane closures on southbound Interstate 65 in downtown Metro Louisville Tuesday night, January 24, 2006. The right two lanes of I65 south from the John F. Kennedy Bridge to Jackson Street (mile points 136.7 – 136) will be closed from 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening until 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning to allow for concrete pavement repairs. In addition to accommodate this work, the I64 west / I71 south ramp to I65 south will be reduced to one lane. The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed. Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the workers and their equipment. This is a reminder we must all help reduce the number of highway work zone accidents and fatalities. Slow Down to Get There! Buckle Up and DRIVE SMART!
