Louisville, KY (January 26, 2006) - District 5 of the Department of Highways office announces  intermittent closures on  Interstate 65  in Bullitt County Sunday morning, February 5, 2006.   Interstate 65 will be closed intermittently, up to 15 minutes at a time, just south of the Brooks Exit 121, between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to allow for utility work.  The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.

Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed.  Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the workers and their equipment.  This is a reminder we must all help reduce the number of highway work zone accidents and fatalities.  Buckle Up and DRIVE SMART!
