Interstate 65 Traffic Advisory
Louisville, KY (December 6, 2005) - The District 5 Department of Highways office in Louisville announces temporary lane and ramp closures on Interstate 65 in downtown Metro Louisville Tuesday night, December 6, 2005. The right two lanes of southbound I65 between the John F. Kennedy Bridge and the Broadway overpass (MP 137 – 135) will be closed from 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening until 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning to allow for concrete bridge repairs. In addition, the I65 south exit ramp to Jefferson Street and the I64 east exit ramp to I65 south will be closed in conjunction with this repair work.
The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed. Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the workers and their equipment. This is a reminder we must all help reduce the number of highway work zone accidents and fatalities. Slow Down to Get There!
