Louisville, KY  (November 7, 2005) - The District 5 Department of Highways office in Louisville announces temporary lane closures and an exit ramp closure on Interstate 65 in Louisville Metro on Monday, November 7, 2005.  The left two lanes of southbound I-65 will be closed at I-264, the Watterson Expressway, mile point 130.9, from 7:00 p.m. Monday until 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, to allow for pavement repair.  In addition, the I-65 north exit ramp to I-265 east, the Gene Snyder Freeway, mile point 125.1, will be closed from 7:00 p.m. Monday until 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, to allow for pavement repair.

The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed.  Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the workers and their equipment.  This is a reminder we must all help reduce the number of highway work zone accidents and fatalities.  Slow Down to Get There!
