Repairs Scheduled for Interstate Ramps in Downtown Louisville

Louisville, KY (September 15, 2011) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office announces temporary ramp closures at the interchange of Interstates 64, 65 and 71 in downtown Louisville.  Bridge deck repairs will be performed during the overnight hours by removing loose concrete from the pavement and then covering the surface with an asphalt overlay.

The ramps at I-71 South to I-65 North and I-64 East to I-65 North will be closed from midnight on Thursday, September 15th until 5:00 a.m. on Friday, September 16th.  Crews will work on the I-71 ramp first and then move to the I-64 ramp.

The ramps from I-65 North to I-64 East and West will be closed from midnight on Monday, September 19th until 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20th.  Crews will work on the I-64 West ramp first and then move to the I-64 East ramp.

The ramp from I-65 South to I-64 East will be closed from midnight on Tuesday, September 20th until 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21st.

Motorists should follow the signed detours at each of these locations.
