Ramp closures on Interstate 71 in Louisville

Louisville, KY (August 18, 2011) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 5 Office announces temporary ramp closures on Interstate 71 as part of the resurfacing and bridge deck restoration project between Interstate 64 and Interstate 264 (Watterson Expressway).  The ramps listed below will be closed from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19th until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, August 22nd. 

• Exit ramp from southbound I-71 to Zorn Avenue (Exit 2)
• Entrance ramp from Zorn Avenue to northbound I-71

Vehicles with loads greater than 11 feet in width will not be permitted on I-71 in the work zone.  A signed detour will be in place via I-64 and I-264.
