Ramp Resurfacing Scheduled for Interstate 65 at KY 480 in Bullitt County

Louisville, KY (July 1, 2011) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 5 Office advises motorists to be aware of impending construction at the interchange of Interstate 65 and KY 480 (Exit 116) in Bullitt County. The entrance and exit ramps at this interchange will be milled and resurfaced to improve the ride quality.

To accomplish this work with as little disruption to motorists at possible, ramps will be closed over two 4-day periods. 

The exit ramp from southbound I-65 to KY 480 and the entrance ramp from KY 480 to southbound I-65 are scheduled to be closed first.  These ramps will be closed from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8th until 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12th.  Motorists should follow the signed detour via KY 44 at Exit 117, then access KY 61 and follow to KY 480.

The northbound ramps of I-65 are currently scheduled for closure from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15th until 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19th.

Flynn Brothers Contracting, Inc. was awarded the contract for this project in the amount of $670,352.  The work is scheduled for completion by August 1, 2011.
