Temporary closure of KY 53 in Shelby County for railroad crossing repairs

Louisville, KY (June 27, 2011) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 5 Office announces the temporary closure of KY 53 (Mount Eden Road) in Shelby County due to RJ Corman railroad crossing repairs. KY 53 will be closed to thru traffic at the railroad crossing between Seminole Drive and Cherokee Drive (mile point 8.61) in Shelbyville.

This roadway is scheduled for closure from 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5th until 6:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8th. Motorists should follow the signed detour via US 60 and KY 55.
