Temporary lane closures on I-265 and I-64 in eastern Jefferson County

Louisville, KY (June 24, 2011) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 5 Office announces temporary closure of the left lanes of Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) in both directions at the Interstate 64 overpass (mile point 25.4).  These lane closures are scheduled from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24th until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, June 27th to allow for bridge deck repairs.

In addition, the left lanes of Interstate 64 in both directions under I-265 (mile point 18.8) will be closed during this same time period.  These lane closures are being put into place to protect motorists from any possible falling debris from the bridge work overhead.
