Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances may occur, so the information below is strictly of an advisory nature and is subject to change with no notice.
Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night. Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis.
Jefferson County:
Southbound Interstate 265: Lane closures and delays possible between the Seatonville Road overpass and Taylorsville Road (mile points 18.8 and 23.3) due to pavement repairs. The roadway will be reduced to one lane from 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24th until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, June 27th.
Interstate 64: Lane closures and delays possible at the Ninth Street interchange (mile point 3.8) due to bridge inspection. These lane closures are scheduled for weeknights from 7:00 p.m. until midnight.
Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway): Lane closures and delays possible in both directions between Interstate 64 and US 60 (mile points 25.4 and 26.7) due to interchange improvements. Lane closures are possible on weeknights from 8:00 p.m. each evening until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. On weekends, lane and ramp closures are possible from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, until 5:00 a.m. on Monday. The speed limit in the work zone is reduced to 55 MPH. Motorists should watch for construction trucks and other equipment entering and exiting the roadway from behind the barrier wall.
Interstate 264 (Watterson Expressway): Lane closures and delays possible in both directions between Dixie Highway and Preston Highway (mile points 8.0 and 12.7) due to concrete repairs and diamond grinding on this section of roadway. Lane and ramp closures are possible on weeknights Monday – Friday from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning. On weekends, lane and ramp closures are possible from 10:00 p.m. on Friday until 6:00 a.m. on Monday. The speed limit in the work zone will be reduced to 45 MPH.
Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway): Lane closures and delays possible in both directions between Shelbyville Road and LaGrange Road (mile points 26.6 and 30.6) due to concrete repairs and diamond grinding on this section of roadway. The roadway may be reduced to one lane weeknights Monday – Thursday from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. On weekends, lane closures are possible from 7:00 p.m. on Friday until 5:00 a.m. on Monday. The speed limit in the work zone will be reduced to 55 MPH.
Westbound Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway): Shoulder closures and delays possible between Smyrna Road and Preston Highway (mile point 12.3 to 12.7) due to sound barrier installation.
Interstate 265/KY 841 (Gene Snyder Freeway): Lane closures and delays possible at the following locations due to guardrail installation. Lane closures possible evenings from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning.

• Smyrna Road (mile point 13.5)
• Taylorsville Road (mile point 23.1)
• Old Henry Road (mile point 28.5)
KY 1747 (Hurstbourne Parkway): Lane closures and delays possible at the following intersections due to sidewalk ramp repairs. These lane closures are possible weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.:
• Timberwood Circle (mile point 12.6)
• Williamsburg Place (mile point 13.0)
• Springhurst Boulevard (mile point 18.2)
• KY 22 (mile point 18.4)
KY 1230 (Lower River Road): Lane closures and delays possible between Watson Lane and the Greenbelt Highway (mile points 0.0 and 2.6) due to roadway resurfacing.
KY 1819 (Watterson Trail): Lane closures and delays possible between Grand Avenue and Electron Drive due to construction of a multi-use path. Lane closures are possible weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
KY 155 (Taylorsville Road): Lane closures and delays possible at the intersection with Blankenbaker Parkway (mile point 8.2) due to construction of the Blankenbaker Parkway extension.
KY 913 (Blankenbaker Parkway): Construction delays possible at the intersection with Blankenbaker Access Drive (mile point 0.9) due to roadway construction.
KY 1447 (Westport Road): Shoulder closures and delays possible between Hubbards Lane and I-264 (mile points 0.9 and 1.9) due to sidewalk ramp repairs.
Bullitt County:
Southbound Interstate 65: Left two lanes will be closed near the KY 480 exit (mile point 115.8) due to pavement repairs. These lane closures are scheduled from 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28th until 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29th.
US 31E (Bardstown Road): Lane closures and delays possible between the Bullitt/Spencer County line and the Bullitt/Jefferson County line (mile points 0.0 and 5.1) due to roadway resurfacing. Lane closures are possible weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and all day on weekends.
KY 44 West: Roadway will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Hill Top Road and Mount Eden Road (mile points 6 and 7) due to slide repairs. Lane closures are possible daily from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
KY 480 (Cedar Grove Road): Construction delays possible between Interstate 65 and Cedar Grove Elementary School (mile points 1.0 and 2.0) due to roadway widening.
Franklin County:
KY 1263 (Big Eddy Road): Roadway is closed at mile point 3 due to a rock slide. Repairs schedule indefinite.
Henry County:
US 421 (Eminence Road-Main Street): Lane closures and delays possible between KY 202 and KY 55 (mile points 13.2 and 15.1) due to roadway resurfacing.
KY 146 (LaGrange Rd.): Lane closures and delays possible between KY 153 and US 421 (mile points 2.160 and 9.828) due to roadway resurfacing.
KY 193 (Port Royal Road): Lane closures and delays possible between KY 1361 and Cane Run Road (mile point 7.5 and 8.1) due to roadway resurfacing.
KY 55 (Eminence Road): Lane closures and delays possible between US 421 and the north end of Town Creek bridge (mile points 3.366 and 4.490) due to roadway resurfacing.
KY 1361 (Vance Road): Lane closures and delays possible between KY 193 and the Henry-Carroll County line (mile points 0 and 4) due to roadway resurfacing.
Oldham County:
US 42: Lane closures and delays possible between KY 1793 and Harmony Landing Road (mile points 2.3 and 3.0) due to installation of turning lanes at North Oldham High School. Lane closures are possible weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and all day on weekends. Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of July.
KY 329: Lane closures and delays possible at mile point 5.5 between KY 1817 and Old Zaring Road due to cross-drain repairs.
KY 712 (Jericho Road): Lane closures and delays possible between KY 146 and Massie School Road (mile points 1 and 2) due to shoulder repairs.
Shelby County:
Interstate 64: Construction delays possible between the Jefferson/Shelby County line and the Simpsonville exit (mile points 23.2 to 28.1) due to roadway widening. The speed limit is reduced to 55 MPH in the construction zone.
Eastbound Interstate 64: Roadway will be reduced to one lane at the bridge over Guist Creek (mile point 36.9) due to bridge deck repairs. Lane closures are scheduled for Tuesday, June 21st from 7:00 p.m. until midnight.
US 60: Lane closures and delays possible due to pothole patching and ditch cleaning.
KY 55 South: Lane closures and delays possible just south of Interstate 64 (mile point 6.1) due to pavement repairs. Work will be performed in the evening.
KY 395: Construction delays possible just north of Interstate 64 at the Flying J Truck Stop (mile point 8.6) due to roadway realignment. Road will be closed to thru traffic for 30 days beginning Monday, June 20th at 1:00 p.m. Motorists traveling on KY 395 between I-64 and US 60 should follow the signed detour.
KY 395: Lane closures and delays possible between US 60 and KY 12 (mile points 10.2 and 16.1) due to roadway resurfacing.
Spencer County:
KY 44: Shoulder closures and delays possible between Brashear’s Creek Road and the Spencer-Anderson County line (mile points 10 and 19) due to rail mowing.
KY 148: Lane closures and delays possible at various locations due to cross-drain repairs.
KY 1060 (Plum Creek Road): Lane closures and delays possible at various locations due to cross-drain repairs.
KY 248 (Briar Ridge Road): Shoulder closures and delays possible due to rail mowing.
Trimble County:
US 421: Construction delays possible near the bridge over the Ohio River (mile points 18.7 to 19.2).
