NEW TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLED AT INTERSTATE 71 AND KY 146

Louisville, Ky. (June 3, 2011)– The Kentucky Department of Highways announces installation of a new traffic signal installed at the intersection of the northbound Interstate 71 exit ramp and KY 146 in Oldham County.  This signal is scheduled to be activated on Tuesday, June 7th.

The traffic signal will improve safety and traffic flow for vehicles entering and exiting I-71 at this location.  Motorists in the left turn lane for northbound I-71 from eastbound KY 146 will have a green arrow for a brief time at the beginning of the green signal.  Afterwards, they will have a green ball and must yield to oncoming traffic.
