Temporary lane closures on I-64 in Jefferson County

Louisville, KY (September 18, 2006) - District 5 of the Department of Highways office announces temporary lane closures on Interstate 64 to allow for painting of the bridges on Interstate 64.  The right lane of westbound I-64 will be closed between the Payne Street overpass and Interstate 71 (mile point 6.8 to 5.8) each evening from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, September 18, 2006 and continuing until Friday morning, September 22, 2006.

Additionally, the right lane of eastbound Interstate 64 will be closed at Breckenridge Lane (mile point 11.2) each evening from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, September 18, 2006 and continuing until Friday morning, September 22, 2006.

Shoulder closures will occur at these locations each day during the week of September 18 – 22, 2006.
