Temporary lane closures on Interstate 65 in Bullitt County
Louisville, KY (August 11, 2006) - The Kentucky Department of Highways announces temporary lane closures in both directions on Interstate 65 in Bullitt County between the Reids Ranch Road Overpass and KY 61 (mile points 110.4 and 118.7) due to pavement rehabilitation. Lane closures began on August 10 and will continue until construction is completed in mid-October 2006. Traffic control on this construction project is divided into two sections.
Southern Section: Reids Ranch Road Overpass to just south of KY 480 (mile points 110.4 to 115.5)
Two lanes of traffic must be maintained in each direction from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday – Sunday. Otherwise, traffic may be reduced to one lane all other times.
Northern Section: KY 480 to KY 61 (mile points 115.5 to 118.7)
Three lanes of traffic must be maintained in each direction from 5:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Two lanes of traffic must be maintained in each direction from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday – Sunday. Traffic may be reduced to one lane during nighttime hours.
No lane closures will occur during the Labor Day holiday weekend from September 1 – 4, 2006.
The speed limit in this work zone will be reduced to 55 MPH and the double fines will be enforced.
