Guardrail repairs in Franklin and Shelby Counties

Louisville, KY (July 31, 2006) - The Kentucky Department of Highways announces the temporary lane closures at the following locations in Franklin and Shelby Counties for Monday, July 31, 2006. These closures will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and allow for guardrail repair:
 
Franklin County
Westbound Interstate 64, milepoint 56.9, right and left lanes
 
Shelby County -
Westbound Interstate 64, milepoint 45.7,  right and left lanes
Westbound Interstate 64, milepoint 43.8,  right and left lanes
 

The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.  Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed.  Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the workers and their equipment.  This is a reminder we must all help reduce the number of highway work zone accidents and fatalities.
