Temporary lane closure on I-71
Louisville, KY (July 31, 2006) - The Kentucky Department of Highways announces the temporary lane closure of the right lane on northbound Interstate 71 from milepoint 11.3 (the Jefferson/Oldham County line) to milepoint 17 in Oldham County. This closure is scheduled for Monday, July 31, 2006 to Thursday, August 3, 2006 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will allow for brush cutting.
The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed. Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the workers and their equipment. This is a reminder we must all help reduce the number of highway work zone accidents and fatalities.
