Temporary lane closures on I-64 in Jefferson County

Louisville, KY (July 28, 2006) - The Kentucky Department of Highways announces the revised schedule for construction activity on Interstate 64 in Jefferson County for the weekend of July 28, 2006 through July 31, 2006.

Westbound Interstate 64:  Lane closures and delays possible between Hurstbourne Parkway and the Watterson Expressway (mile point 14.8 and 12.1) due to roadway resurfacing.  These lane closures are from 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2006 until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, July 31, 2006.  The speed limit in this work zone will be reduced to 45 MPH and the double fines will be enforced.  Construction in this area will continue through November 2006.

Westbound Interstate 64:  Right lane closed between Tucker Station Road overpass and Hurstbourne Parkway (mile point 17.6 to 14.8) from 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2006 until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, July 31, 2006 to allow for bridge deck repairs as part of the I-64 resurfacing project.  The speed limit in this work zone will be reduced to 45 MPH and the double fines will be enforced.
