EASTBOUND INTERSTATE 64 TO BE CLOSED JUNE 2nd
Roadway to be closed for bridge repairs

Louisville, KY (May 30, 2012) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office in Louisville advises motorists that eastbound Interstate 64 in downtown Louisville will be closed overnight on June 2nd for bridge repairs.  Crews will be placing an asphalt overlay on the Witherspoon Street overpass (mile point 5.4).

Eastbound I-64 will be closed to traffic from 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2nd until 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 3rd.  Motorists must follow the signed detour via southbound I-65 to eastbound I-264 (Watterson Expressway) and then reconnect with I-64.
