Guardrail repairs on northbound I-265 and I-65

Louisville, KY  (March 17, 2006) - The District 5 Department of Highways office in Louisville announces temporary lane closures at the following locations in Jefferson County, Sunday, March 19, 2006. These closures will occur between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and allow for guardrail repair:

·        Northbound Interstate 65, mile point 135.9, right lane closure

·        Northbound Interstate 265, ramp to westbound Interstate 64, mile point 25.5, left lane closure

Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed.  Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the workers and their equipment.  This is a reminder we must all help reduce the number of highway work zone accidents and fatalities.  Slow Down to Get There!
