‘SINGING BRIDGE’ CLOSURE POSTPONED

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 27, 2012) – Closure of the “Singing Bridge” in downtown Frankfort, originally scheduled for Thursday, March 1, has been postponed until mid-March.

G-Force Contracting, of Campbell, Ohio, was awarded a $1.26 million contract by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for repairs and repainting of the bridge. Work has been postponed pending review and approval of rigging plans for the painting process and an agreement for a waste disposal site.

G-Force Contracting will notify the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet of the revised work schedule and closure date. Public notification will be provided as soon as this information becomes available.
