Traffic Advisory for Interstates 65 and 265 in Lou. Metro
Louisville, KY (January 4, 2006) - The District 5 Department of Highways office in Louisville announces temporary lane closures on Interstate 65 in downtown Metro Louisville Wednesday night, January 4, 2006. The right two lanes of southbound I65 between the John F. Kennedy Bridge and the Broadway overpass (MP 137 – 135) will be closed from 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening until 5:00 a.m. Thursday morning to allow for concrete bridge repairs.
In addition, District 5 announces temporary lane closures on I-265, the Gene Snyder Freeway, Wednesday night, January 4, 2006. These lane closures between Beulah Church Road and Seatonville Road, mile points 15.1 and 18.6, will occur from 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening until 6:00 a.m. Thursday morning and allow for pavement marker installations.
The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists are urged to be cautious and reduce speed. Stay alert and minimize distractions, and keep a safe distance between your vehicle, the car ahead, and the workers and their equipment.
