Governor Ernie Fletcher announces award of $375,000 in Discretionary Road Funding to Marion County
Elizabethtown, Kentucky (July 12, 2005)- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways has signed an agreement with the City of Lebanon and will provide $375,000 in funding for the widening of KY 3221 (Metts Drive) in Lebanon, Kentucky.
The Department of Highways has agreed to reimburse the City of Lebanon up to $375,000 for the design and construction of Metts Drive. The improvements will better accommodate heavy traffic at Metts Drive from Industrial Drive (mp 0.225), extending east approximately to mp 0.25. The project will include widening, grading, draining and resurfacing of Metts Drive. The City of Lebanon will be responsible for any cost associated with right-of-way acquisition or utility relocation.
