Transportation secretary announces emergency funding for Hart County
ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (Aug 6, 2010) — Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock today announced that $64,800 in emergency road funds has been awarded to Hart County Fiscal Court.
The funding will help cover repair costs for a slide on the county’s Woodland Road.
“Citizens across Kentucky rely on infrastructure well beyond the state highway network,” Hancock said. “The Transportation Cabinet is committed to working with local governments whenever possible to ease the financial strain caused by emergency situations that undermine the integrity of local roads.”
The county is responsible for administering the work.
