------ MEDIA ADVISORY------

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will continue the pavement rehabilitation project on I-75 in Whitley County through March 31, 2006.  Construction will be between Mileposts 0.0 to 5.60, North and Southbound lanes.   Contractor will halt work April 1 through 9, 2006, due to Spring Break. Construction is expected to resume April 10, 2006 by 7:00 AM.  

 Lane closures will begin each Monday by 6:30 AM and continue through 7:00 AM each Friday.   ALL LANES WILL BE OPENED TO TRAFFIC BY 7:00 AM on Friday through Sunday at 7:00 PM.      The actual starting date and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.

  This area is a Double Fine Zone with a reduced speed limit of 55 MPH within the work zone.

 This project is expected to remain active through 2006.
