MANCHESTER, KY. ---(December 15, 2006)— The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s pavement rehabilitation project on I-75 in Laurel County continues for the week of December 18 thru December 21, between Mileposts 29 and 34.
The North and Southbound lanes will have closures beginning Monday, December 18. Lane closures will be in effect as follows:
4:00 AM Monday, Dec. 18 to 9:00 AM Thursday, Dec. 21 (24 hours a day)
NOTE: The lane width will be restricted to approximately 11 feet on I-75 SB and NB, for bridge work. Wide loads must seek an alternate route. Wide load restriction Southbound will end December 21. Wide load restriction will continue Northbound for approximately 1 month.
This area is a Double Fine Zone with a reduced speed limit of 55 MPH within the work zone. The actual starting date and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
A signed detour is in place from Exit 41(London) to Corbin and from Exit 29(Corbin) to London. This project is expected to remain active through 2006.
