 MANCHESTER, KY. ---(September 29, 2006)— The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s pavement rehabilitation project on I-75 in Laurel County continues for the week of October 1 thru October 6, between Mileposts 29 and 34.
 
 The North and Southbound lanes will have lane closures beginning Sunday, October 1.  Lane closures will be in effect as follows:

 8:00 PM Sunday, Oct. 1 to 9:00 AM Thursday, Oct. 5 (24 hours a day)
 7:00 PM Thursday, Oct. 5 to 7:00 AM Friday, Oct. 6.
 Contractor will halt all operations by 7:00 AM each Friday.

NOTE:  The lane width will be restricted to approximately 11.5 feet on I-75 SB and NB, for bridge work.  Wide loads must seek an alternate route.  Bridge work is expected to be complete on I-75 SB and NB in 2-3 months.

This area is a Double Fine Zone with a reduced speed limit of 55 MPH within the work zone.  The actual starting date and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.

A signed detour is in place from Exit 41(London) to Corbin and from Exit 29(Corbin) to London.   This project is expected to remain active through 2006.
