Governor Fletcher and Transportation Cabinet announce $60,000 in County Road Aid emergency funding to Whitley County Fiscal Court
Governor Ernie Fletcher and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet today announced emergency road funding for the Whitley County Fiscal Court. The county has been authorized to receive $60,000 to replace a bridge on Stoney Fork (CR 1407).
“This project is just one example of the cabinet’s commitment to recognizing a problem and taking action for a solution,” said acting Secretary Bill Nighbert. “These emergency funds are being used to improve safety and mobility in Whitley County.”
County Road Aid emergency funds will be used for this project. The county is responsible for all phases of the work for the bridge, which is located 0.450 miles Northeast of KY 1193. A check will be issued directly to the county as payment for the new bridge.
