Department of Highways Maintenance Schedule for Bell County

Department of Highways personnel plan to conduct the following maintenance activities in Bell County for the week of Aug. 29—Sept. 2:

Monday 08-29
• KY 2079      Repairing Base
• KY 441        Mowing

Tuesday 08-30
• KY 2079      Repairing Base
• KY 186        Mowing

Wednesday 08-31
• US 25E         Ditching
• KY 74          Mowing

Thursday 09-01
• US 25E          Ditching
• KY 74           Mowing

Friday 09-02
• US 25E        Ditching
• KY 74         Mowing

Each day, a crew will be working with contractor on KY 74, repairing break.

Maintenance activities are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change dependent on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

Motorists are urged to use caution in work areas, and to be alert for flaggers, workers, equipment which may block a portion of the roadway, and other items of concern in work zones. They should pay attention to warning signs alerting them of the roadwork and obey work zone speed limits where applicable.

The Kentucky Department of Highways maintains 228 miles of highway in Bell County.
